Who We Are
For one hundred years, the Paterson Museum, located in the center of Paterson's Historical district, has served the residents of Paterson as a community arts center and cultural institution dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of Paterson's rich history. The Paterson Museum Foundation (The Foundation) was formed during Paterson's 225th anniversary year. The Foundation supports the growth of the museum in conjunction with the revival of the Great Falls and Hinchliffe Stadium, promotes the development of its exhibits, educational programs and special community events. The trustees are: Sheryl Adamoff, Sharon Briggs, Glenn Corbett, Marty Feitlowitz, David Ferrari, Vince Parrillo, and ex-officio members Giacomo "Jack" DeStefano and Heather Garside. Each brings a unique perspective, background and knowledge base to the Board and has ties to the Paterson Museum and its greater community. We mourn the loss of two of our original trustees, Lawrence "Pat" Kramer and Ed Smyk.
As its first initiative, the Foundation signed on to support the ongoing Paterson 225 Academic Symposium lecture series. The first fundraising events were May 10 and 11, 2019 in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the Golden Spike Ceremony. Visit the Events Page for information on upcoming events. Questions about the foundation may be addressed to the Board by email or you can ask for Jack DeStefano or Heather Garside at the Paterson Museum (973-321-1260) during normal business hours.
